No Size Fits All

September 6, 2016
BACK
Two models, one goal: to free women from fashion’s weight tyranny. We are so proud of Rosalie from her petition to change the laws for aspiring models to ensure the safety of models and there well-being in the industry to appearing in interviews alongside renowned director Nicholas Winding Refn. However, As London Fashion Week opens, Rosalie has teamed up with curve model and up-and-coming designer Jada Sezer to join a Women’s Equality party campaign to tackle the use of tiny clothing sizes, underweight models – and the resulting crisis of eating disorders. Talking to the Guardian, Rosalie spoke of home truths surrounding her modelling journey and the growing concern around young people and eating disorders; '1.6 million sufferers of eating disorders, 89% of them are women and girls, and brings with it an economic cost of £1.3bn a year in lost productivity and healthcare bills'. Many involved in the camping believe the root of the problem: the sample sizes used by the fashion industry. “Tiny, tiny little clothes. Such that normal-sized women have to starve themselves to fit into them. And we’re not talking a three-day soup diet here, which would be bad enough; we’re talking weeks and weeks and weeks of systematic malnutrition, for which young women are paid to fit into these tiny little sizes'. Find out more here, about how you can support the party and join the instagram campaign #NoSizeFitsAll.
