Director Hector Aponysus has teamed up with esteemed sportswear brand Kappa and Awake NY who's aim is to capture the unique cultural spirit and sensibility of New York City. Founded in 2012, Awake NY reflects the diversity that defines NY city's cultural landscape. Both classic & contemporary they aim to evoke the ever-changing style & timelessness of New York.

A combination of classic styles and modern aesthetics.

The AW 19 capsule has been long-awaited by the likes of Hypebeast/HypeBae readers that harkens back to designs of the past. The retro-style capsule collection combines both sportswear and fashion whilst keeping to the classic sports garments widely used by Kappa. These include street-friendly tracksuits, stadium jackets & soccer jerseys while bucket hats accompany the line of accessories. Available in 3 colorways, the tracksuit has logo branding across the torso whilst other items feather dual logo athletic tape which is a trend that's stood the test of time. To complete the collection it's rounded off with a jersey with Awake NY's reimagination of Times Square in New York City. Awake NY was founded by Angelo Baque, former brand director at Supreme, and his influence on the collection is clear, fusing Kappa’s sporting heritage with modern American streetwear.
