1) RESEARCH
Do your research!
Researching a variety of Modelling agencies is key as every agency is different. Some agencies are Commercial or editorial – high fashion and catwalk.
Research and get to know photographers, read magazines and fashion brands – build your knowledge and network!
2) INTERN
Internships are very helpful to gain experience and knowledge within a modelling agency as you get full access on behind the scenes of scouting, content creation, test shoots
and daily office duties. This is a great way to grow within an agency from an Intern position, as having different transferrable skills and background experience is great!
3) BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE
Background experience within Model booking isn’t vital, agencies are open to candidates with different transferable skills.
Relevant skills: Communication, People skills, Confidence, Organisation, Time management, Photography, Negotiation and Social media.
Relevant Backgrounds: Fashion, Creative, Media, Photography, Marketing, Social Media, Photography.
